Hey guys,

I hope you are all well and had some good times over the festive season. Just as a heads up if you happen to spot any of my photos on another site under the name 'KF Photography', fear not as that is actually me setting up my own website :)

I have had a rough time recently, I lost someone very close to me and its still quite raw at the moment. I wanted to carry on with my DA page, I genuinely had no motivation whatsoever to do anything creative which was made worse by my recent loss. But that person would surely be kicking my backside now if they were still here, and so with a lot of encouragement from those closest to me, this year will be different. This year I will do something meaningful with my time, and make the most of what I have.

Well hello everyone! Long time no see!

I have come back from the dead after an 18month sabbatical/time of laziness. I am back with more work, and a determination to do more than ever! I am working on a routine where I upload some fully worked photos per week and I'm going to ramp it up a bit as time goes on. I'm settling in to a new job and things are busy but I will try :) I've missed you guys!

I am back on writing, I've pretty much scrapped all of my original work and started fresh with all the best bits. I am also starting on polymer clay modelling, as I lack in hobbies I've been introduced to several new ones.

I will be uploading some new stuff later today :D

Been a while

Hello my dear followers. Apologies for the huge lack of activity this year, an awful lot has happened. I have moved house to the other side of the country, started a new job and have recently sampled our lovely healthcare services (don't panic it wasn't serious :) ) And thats just the start of it all.

Obviously I have badly neglected my dA page. My last journal entry was in January :noes: yeesh thats a while ago.

I haven't had much time to work on my photography or bone up on my photoshop skills (I now have access to CS6 courtesy of one amazing individual). I have however been reading up, I just haven't had time for hands on work is all. I'm hoping that once I settle in to my new much busier life that I will be able to get back to my photography and writing.

At the moment I am under strict orders to take some R&R, as much as it bores me. So no adventuring for a few weeks. On the flipside though I'll be back on here more frequently as I am off work and away from home!

I've ended working with a much better Camera than I originally planned; the Canon 60D :D:D:D:D:D

Went out shooting with it yesterday, and it was awesome :):):)

I'm very very lucky to have access to such an amazing piece of photographic kit :squee: :la:

The level of detail it can capture is unbelievable. I'm more focused on Macro/Close-up styles right now because it's what I'm comfortable shooting. I will try to upload some more varied shots soon.

Well it has been a while since I last updated. For my photography followers I have good news :) I'm now investing in my first proper DSLR camera! Courtesy of quite a bit of research (not done by myself, but you know who you are ;) ) I've chosen the Canon EOS 550D. It's going to be one hell of a jump from my baby Samsung, but what the hell might as well just go for it. I'm starting to be able to balance work with time to go out and get some new material :D

Not to mention I'm going to Australia for 3 weeks next March, and it's my mission to bring back some memorable photos ^^

I'm hoping to get the Canon sometime in January :D


For now I'll try and submit some festive shots when I get the chance :la:
